Flash Frame

Equal bright, moving fast

The scenes are blinking

In and out

Yellows and greens and in betweens

The faces you see around

Every tree

Our fathers and mothers

Moving nowhere fast

Are we inside or out

Stealing oxygen gas?

Breathing in

Breathing out

We’re nowhere closer

The feeling of

The haunting of never moving

Like the past

There’s fears around

Every turn and every side

We’re moving thru

The buckles and thorns

We leave by the wayside

There’s something settling

Moving in

A sudden calm

Comes creeping in

We never know

Where anything goes

What time it is

Or where we go

It’s all in a tizzy

A rather large rats nest

Like the moving parts of a ship

To steer us towards

The proper pitch

We yaw and roll

And move aside

Our bodies tremble

With fear inside

It’s always present

And never in

But when we stop

It comes flooding in

The tears they come

And wash away

The thoughts of tomorrow

To live another day

For those around us

Are what keeps us whole

We’re never knowing

What’s all been told

So we try and stand

And pick ourselves up

For we’re still here

And let’s make today, tomorrow

Before it passes us on
