3/8/26 – Time up in the KAFOs
In the KAFOs right now! My legs are moving more and more! I’m able to get up and stand, walk, and hold myself up! The only help I need is for Callie to brace the wheelchair when I’m coming to sit down! I’m making some good sets here in the bedroom, I’m gonna need to expand where I’m going here soon!

3/10/26 – Forearm Pump
It’s time for me to get up. I went to sleep at like 8ish last night. Left abdominal are is freaking out, like usual. Gotta look at that.
Legs are feeling wild as ever, gotta try to keep it up in the KAFOs daily.
Maybe gotta spend more time on my right side at knight. I didn’t get prone at all, and I can feel it. My abs and core are not happy. Feeling awfully twisted.
Forearms feel pumped this morning. I wonder how they will adapt if I keep trying this every day? They should adapt, right?
3/11/26 – Walking and Brace Work
So much to do, so much to see, so what’s wrong with taking the back streets? Always so much to do each day!
My lower legs and feet are feeling the tightness and the squeeze! Trying to actually get my hips and hamstrings to relax at night, it’s always a struggle, and this last night was the same. I got on the floor last night prone for an hour. I really need that st the end of the day to get my body and muscles to relax, wind down, and learn they don’t always need to be on. That wheelchair is for movement, it’s not really great for stationary sitting.
Walking work! Got up in standing frame before! Boy is my back pooped! Did some walker arm raises too!
Stretched out at end of day, really worked the oxygen into my lungs and that seemed to help!
3/12/26 – High Fives / Handcycling
Goodness! Lots of activation this morning on the outers of my upper and lower legs, my feet, calves, quads, and with a deep breath, my entire body is relaxing! I know that my sinuses suck, so when I take a deep breath from my mouth, I can really get some air moving into my lungs!
It’s been interesting this week, I took a couple days off writing in the AM. It’s interesting how it seems to change my mood and change the tone for the entire day! It’s almost like I lose focus on what I am doing, and others are more easily able to grab my attention. Be it work, or whatever. But when I write, I can help keep my focus on what my body is doing and needs.
I’m messsing around with deep breaths thru my mouth, and it’s been cool how I really am able to breath so deeply and get the spasms to calm so quickly! It takes time, to figure all this out.
I got some cardio in the Handcycle today, and I still want to try to get up in the braces! I took Tuesday off, but I really want to try to get in them every day! Let’s get it! My body is feeling so much more “put together” after I wear them, I just need to keep it up!

I think I also need to get feedback to the ENT doctor, and try to get my sinuses in check. If they are getting clogged again, they probably should know so that I can maybe do something before another surgery is needed….
Crazy how these deep breaths thru my mount are getting my spasms to calm! Let’s keep this up! Oh yeah my quad activation is like crazy! I need to just get up, work on walking, and not think so much! The squeeze in my quads is such a good feeling! I need to keep this up!
Cycle forward is always a great time to get moving and get my heart rate up!

Call with Spike and the High Fives Crew! That was wild! So many amazing and interesting folks out there, with some crazy stories too. I can tell how tough it is for some, and maybe a little easier for others. It’s wild to think how crazy of an accident I have, and it was wild having to tell folks about it. But! I was told about two amazing films made by folks in this call! The first one from Murray, Carts of Darkness looks so interesting!

Then the other one also is interesting! Spike and crew sailed up to Alaska! 3 Quads did this?! How amazing!?

3/13 – Pick Your Head Up
Picking my head up tall, it’s wild, I can really feel my head pulling up engage my glutes better, getting my hips in extension more, as opposed to me shrinking and collapsing forward! It’s really cool! The cue of lifting my head and squeezing my glutes has really helped me elongate my spine, so I’m able to actually get into extension better than ever!
3/14 – Brace Walk & Pilates
Brace walk! I walked 35ft out of the bedroom! This was great! I was working my breath while in standing, messing around, and it was going so well! I can’t believe this!
Pilates! Goodness! This was such a good session! I have NEVER got my legs in extension so much! This was INSANE! I was using my breath to help get me into longer and longer extension! There was one set, where all of a sudden, I start breathing through my mouth and getting deeper and fuller breaths, and all of a sudden, my legs start extending out more?! This was incredible!
It’s so wild, how I get so fatigued from Pilates in ways I seem to never in PT. It’s so wild! My brain is almost “dizzy” when I am done!
Had a nice evening with my Cal. Got to relax and stay in, what a day! Got some pies!
