September 30th 2023 – John’s House

Sept 30th

Today I had quite the day, being out and about for the whole day and for the first time going over to John’s house!

I had gotten Max a super goofy dog toy, went to the orchard, and then grabbed a slice of pizza and headed over there with the Schmule!

The weather outside was great, and I truly enjoyed being able to soak up some of the sun that I haven’t been able to before! It was so nice!

Yeah, I get a little fatigued and tired quickly, but I think that’s okay, it’s actually a good opportunity to understand and know your limits as you continue to heal and do more each day! It feels like it’s all pretty overwhelming, but being in a place and spot in your life where you can return to that is truly restorative, is a really good place to be. I think you know where that is for you, and how that is going to help you!

It was really great being around everyone today, having my brothers and friends over really made for a great day.

Shoot, I even had a bit of an edible, and it was wild how the feelings were changing from the feeling in my legs, to then feeling a lil goofy!

We got J Rob out on the Dirt Bike today! It was the first time I had seen and heard a motorcycle since the accident. I actually cried, it was pretty emotional for me. I don’t have a problem with the bikes, I guess it’s just with the ambulance and the situation I’m in.

Hearing that old Suzuki start up and liven up was super great! It’s a sound I hadn’t heard in forever, and it honestly made me pretty choked up knowing that’s something that I love. That smell and sound of a 2-stroke is really something to it.

Paul and I had a little snafu when he brought me back! I kinda sorta definitely flipped back cuz I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t have the wheelie bars in! That kinda hurt! Fortunately Paul was there and was able to help me get back up quick enough! I was able to protect my head! So that was good!

Even though that happened, I still had a really good day. The smoked meat was good, the sun was good, and the conversations I really miss. I had a blast.
